Time – 6:00 P.M.

Location – Ranger College Auditorium, 1240 College Circle, Ranger TX, 76470

Students who qualify to walk at the graduation ceremony will receive a cap, gown, tassel, and cords/stoles (if applicable) at no cost to the graduate. These are typically available 2-3 weeks prior to the ceremony. Graduates are welcome to decorate their cap.

In order to qualify to walk at a graduation ceremony, students must have:

  • Completed or be completing all requirements for their respective degree or certificate.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Students who are no more than two courses away from completing the requirements for their degree or certificate are also eligible to walk at the ceremony, but will not receive their diploma or certificate until the final courses are complete.

As described above, students are allowed to participate in the ceremony even if they are not completing their degree. Students that are not completing their degree will not receive their official diploma or certificate or have their degree/certificate posted on their transcript until all coursework has been completed.

Potential graduates must apply to graduate by submitting an Application for Degree. After being submitted, the application is received by the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar then reviews the degree audit for completion. This process takes 3-4 weeks. The applicant will be contacted once the review is complete to notify them of their graduation status.

Graduates  need to meet at the cafeteria by 5:00 P.M.

Guests should also arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the commencement ceremony. It is important to be seated before the ceremony begins to avoid any disruption during the ceremony.

The ceremony will last approximately two hours.

Yes, as long as the graduate is completing all requirements for their degree or certificate and are not on hold with any Ranger College office, they will receive their diploma at the ceremony.
