TSIA2 Testing Options
Ranger College offers two convenient ways to complete the TSIA2 (Texas Success Initiative Assessment) test:

In-Person Testing
Take the test on campus under supervised conditions. -
Virtual Testing
Complete the test remotely via the Accuplacer online platform.
Important Information for Dual Credit Students
If you are a high school student enrolling in Dual Credit courses, please coordinate your TSIA2 testing through your High School Counselor. Your counselor works directly with the Ranger College Dual Credit Administrator to facilitate the process.

Administered at the Ranger Main Campus, Erath County Campus (Stephenville), Brown
County (Early/Brownwood), and at various high schools for dual credit
students.
*There is no TSIA2 testing on days online final exams are given.

The Ranger main campus testing center is located in the Student Success Center, classroom #1 and is administered on Tuesday’s beginning at 9:00 am. No new testers beginning after 11:00 A.M. There is no registering or signing up, just show-up…first come, first served.

- Pay your fee in advance and show your receipt of payment to the Testing Proctor.
- Present a photo ID to the Proctor.
- Be on time.
- No cell phones allowed.
- No food or Drink at the computer station
The fee is $30.00 for the complete TSIA2 test consisting of the ELAR (Reading & Writing) & Math and $15.00 for a single test. You must present your receipt of payment and ID for testing.
Note: The updated TSIA2 test by College Board groups the ELAR (Reading and Writing) together, they cannot be taken separately when testing for the first time.

2. An additional $28.00 fee to Accuplacer/Meazure Learning ProdtorU is required when registering for the online exam.
4. Provide the following information to sfeaster@rangercollege.edu

- Address (complete with city & zip code)
- Email Address
- Date of Birth (xx/xx/xxxx
- Phone Number
- Type of testing requested. The complete TSIA2 testing is both ELAR (Reading and Writing) and Math. Select either the Complete Test or a separate test.
If you experience any issues during your online exam please provide a screenshot of your entire screen to the institution that created the voucher.

Students must complete the Pre-Assessment Activity prior to taking the TSIA2 Assessment.
Students will not be allowed to test without proof of completion
Note: SAT and ACT scores used to support an exemption must be less than five years old; STAAR scores must be less than five years old. Also note TSI scores that are older than 5 years are no longer valid. If courses completing areas of reading, writing and math have not been successfully completed in the five years since the TSI was taken, students will need to take a new TSIA2.
A student who has already completed the TSIA2 Assessment and placed college ready should not test again in that area. The following TSI scores represent college ready cut scores:
College Readiness Benchmarks ELAR: A score in the range of 945–990 on the ELAR CRC Test and a score of at least 5 on the Essay Test or an ELAR CRC Test score below 945 and an ELAR Diagnostic Test score of 5 or 6 and an Essay Test score of 5 or higher.
Mathematics: A score in the range of 950–990 on the Mathematics CRC Test or a Mathematics CRC Test score below 950 and a Mathematics Diagnostic Test score of 6.
