Dual Credit Automotive

The Ranger College Dual Credit Automotive program gives high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on automotive training while earning college credit. Designed for students interested in automotive technology and skilled trades, this pathway introduces foundational skills in vehicle systems, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.

Students complete coursework in automotive technology, brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and steering, helping prepare them for entry-level automotive careers or continued technical education after graduation. Through dual credit, students can begin building workforce-ready skills while still in high school and earning valuable college hours at the same time.

The Automotive Dual Credit program is currently offered through Brownwood ISD only and includes a total of 16 college credit hours across the junior and senior years.
