Dual Credit Associate of Arts

The Ranger College Dual Credit Associate of Arts program gives high school students the opportunity to begin working toward a college degree while still completing their high school education. Designed for college-ready students, the Associate of Arts degree provides a strong academic foundation through core curriculum courses in English, Mathematics, Science, History, Government, Communication, Social Sciences, and Electives.

Students who complete this pathway can earn transferable college credits that apply toward bachelor’s degree programs at four-year universities. The degree plan is structured to help students stay on track for graduation while exploring academic and career interests early. A suggested two-year course sequence is also available to help students and advisors plan coursework semester by semester.

The Associate of Arts degree requires completion of 60 credit hours, including the Texas Core Curriculum and degree plan requirements. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and complete residency requirements through Ranger College.
