Committee Overview
The purpose of the Ranger REACH and Grants Committee is to provide oversight and direction to achieve or surpass the Perkins V Core Indicators required by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Department of Education (DOE) and be approved for Perkins V funding to strengthen Career & Technical Workforce Education. In addition, the Ranger REACH and Grants Committee works to eliminate and/or address obstacles hindering student, staff, and faculty success.

Successfully accomplish Perkins Basic and Perkins Leadership goals in order to provide CTE options that will allow students job security, growth, and empowerment.
Create aid and provide evidence through data review, stakeholder consultations and CTE workforce program evaluation to complete the Carl Perkins V Grant Comprehensive Local Needs Analysis.
- Evaluate student performance in the CTE workforce programs
- Evaluate size, scope & quality of CTE workforce programs
- Evaluate local labor market needs and alignment with CTE workforce programs
- Evaluate faculty/staff recruitment, retention, and training
- Evaluate access and equity for special populations
- Compose stakeholder/business engagement strategy and action plan
- Evaluate the eligibility of all RR applicants without bias
- Oversee the annual RR budget and ensure the timely and fair allocation of resources
