What classes are in an AAT Degree program?
The Ranger College AAT degree program focuses on preparing students to transfer to
a four-year university.
To complete the requirements of Associate of Arts in Teaching degree, a student needs to complete 60 semester hours of coursework. An AAT degree includes 3 hours of elective coursework and 57 hours of core curriculum.
Will AAT credits from Ranger College transfer to a university?
The Ranger College AAT degree is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating
Board, which makes the degree transferrable to any Texas public university offering
baccalaureate degree programs leading to initial teacher certification.
Transferring students will be required to meet entrance program standards of the intended university, including GPA and/or test scores. Students are advised to consult with the receiving institution’s advisement staff for requirements unique to that institution.
