The Ranger College Cheerleaders

The RC cheerleaders are a competition level cheer squad featuring both female and male participants.  The cheerleaders perform at basketball games (men and women), and other athletic events.  The cheerleaders also participate with the dance team in parades, special events, and other functions.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Each member of the RC Cheerleader squad receives $1,250 for the year or $625 per semester.  Our scholarships require that each member maintain a minimum of 12 hours each semester.  Members receive a one-hour P.E. credit for cheerleading.

EXPENSES

Members of the cheerleading squad are asked to purchase their shoes, workout clothes, and dance pants.  Uniforms are provided by the college.

TRYOUTS

Tryouts are held throughout the year.  Individuals need to come prepared to lead at least one cheer.  Evaluations are based on physical ability, enthusiasm, and overall personality.  Videotapes are accepted if travel is difficult.
