RANGER – During the middle of preseason practice, the Ranger College volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer teams took time out of their practice schedule to help out the community.
“We just wanted to help say thank you to the town,” Ranger men’s soccer coach Rafael Gonzalez. “They have done so much for us and we just want to make sure they know how much we appreciate it.”
The teams broke up into three groups and started on the Ranger campus picking up trash, fixing the sand volleyball pit and painting the dorms. Once those tasks were completed, one of the groups headed downtown and picked up trash throughout the area.
The Ranger soccer teams start their season September 9 at Hill College. Volleyball is 2-1 early in its season
